Thomas Adams

Thomas Adams represents the heart and heritage of American agriculture as a 3rd-generation farmer (4th if you count his great-grandfather’s days as a sharecropper). Farming has been part of his life since birth, and today, he works alongside three active generations of his family on Adams Farms in Henry County, Alabama. Together with his father, Don, and son, Emery, Thomas oversees a diverse operation growing runner peanuts, cotton, and corn, while also managing a brood cow herd and broiler chicken production.
Thomas cherishes his family’s farming tradition, which began with his great-grandfather's sharecropping days. His wife, Farrah, and he are proud parents and grandparents, welcoming their first grandchild, John Thomas, last December. With strong roots in community and family, the Adams family embodies the resilience and innovation that define modern agriculture.
A Headland High School graduate, Thomas has dedicated his life to both farming and service. He is an active member of the Headland Methodist Church and serves on the executive committee of the Alabama Peanut Producers Association and the Henry County Farmers Federation. His passion for peanut farming is matched only by his love for his community.
In his downtime, Thomas enjoys operating heavy equipment for land improvement projects, fishing in The Gulf, and spending time with family at the beach.
As a member of the National Peanut Board, Thomas is honored to represent peanut farmers across the U.S. He is committed to promoting peanuts, supporting production research, and championing efforts to reduce and eliminate peanut allergies. Working with growers from different regions, Thomas continues the legacy of those before him, striving to address today’s challenges and build a promising future for the American peanut farmer.
