This lovable, one-of-a-kind plushie was created in late 2024 with a singular mission: to make the early introduction of peanut foods to infants a standard practice for parents and a standard of care for healthcare providers.
In 2015, groundbreaking new science turned conventional wisdom on its head. Today, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and other authorities all agree that "eat early, eat often" is the path to preventing peanut allergies. While many families have adopted this practice, many still have not.
That's where Little Peanut comes in. The ideal time for parents and healthcare providers to develop a plan for introducing peanut foods is around the well-baby visit at four months.
