Allergy Research Grant Program Enters Next Phase

The National Peanut Board’s (NPB) 2025 Food Allergy Research Grant Program process has reached the next phase. The open call for Letters of Interest (LOI) closed May 9. The program received a robust response with 33 LOIs. Nineteen applicants have been invited to submit full proposals. Applicants have until August 29 to submit their proposals, which will be reviewed by a panel of experts.

NPB prioritizes supporting groundbreaking research that drives significant impact in four key areas of food allergy with an emphasis on peanut: prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management. Health equity is a primary lens through which projects will be evaluated, and early-career researchers are encouraged to apply.

The grant program is an extension of the Board’s long-term support of allergy advancements. Since 2001, NPB has invested more than $38 million in research and education, driving toward the eradication of peanut allergy.

Grant announcements will be made in November.
