NPB Board members and alternates (2025)
The National Peanut Board (NPB) convened in Atlanta, Georgia, from March 10-13, 2025 for its March Board meeting, where key decisions were made to shape the future of the peanut industry.
Among the highlights was the approval of NPB's FY 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, which included a refreshed mission statement reinforcing its commitment to improving the economic well-being of U.S. peanut farmers through innovative promotion and research.
“This strategic plan is a bold step forward, ensuring that our efforts in promotion, education, and research continue to drive value for peanut farmers,” said Casey Cox Kerr, NPB Board Chair. “With this vision in place, we’re well-positioned to grow demand and expand opportunities for peanuts.”
Additionally, the Board approved 62 production research projects totaling $1,978,041. These projects are designed to address critical issues in peanut production, including sustainability, disease resistance, and yield improvement. By funding cutting-edge research, NPB remains dedicated to advancing the industry and equipping peanut farmers with the tools they need for long-term success. Previously funded production research projects can be accessed through NPB’s Production Research Database.
Beyond strategic discussions, Board members participated in committee meetings, media training, and industry networking opportunities. The meeting also provided an opportunity for collaboration with the USDA and industry stakeholders, reinforcing NPB's role as a leader in peanut advocacy.
As NPB looks ahead to implementing its new strategic plan, the organization remains focused on its core mission: supporting the prosperity of peanut farmers while driving consumer demand and industry innovation.
