NPB Donates $5K to Peanut Proud for Texas Flood Relief

After the destructive flooding in Texas Hill Country, the National Peanut Board approved a donation of $5,000 to Peanut Proud, which leads humanitarian efforts on behalf of the peanut industry, providing nutritious, shelf-stable food in times of crisis.

Peanut Proud is fulfilling and coordinating deliveries of peanut butter to the counties most severely impacted by the flooding. NPB joins others in the industry contributing to Peanut Proud in this effort.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and continue to deal with the aftermath of this devastating disaster,” said NPB Texas Board Member Jeff Roper. “As farmers, we are proud to do what we can to help support those in need.”
