This fall, the National Peanut Board hit the road to inspire Gen Z to fuel their lives with peanuts—America’s sustainable superfood. Over 4,000 miles traveled across the south and 6 major universities later, we connected with 150K+ students through interactive experiences, peanut-packed Fuel Boxes, and educational fun including:
- Texas A&M University (Sept 16–17): Students swarmed Rudder Plaza Student Union to sample trendy peanut dishes, grab merch, and compete in peanut-themed challenges. Aggies topped the Fuel Zone leaderboard early in the tour!
- Auburn University (Sept 23–24): A hundred-student line formed at The Edge dining hall, where NPB Board Member Thomas Adams and Libbie from the Alabama Peanut Producers educated students. Auburn officials were so impressed, they invited the team back for spring events, and after 2 stops, social media was a buzz as other campuses were on the lookout for their tour stop!
- University of Georgia (Sept 30–Oct 1): Myers Quad, fresh off a College Gameday visit, became peanut central. Don and Leslie from the Georgia Peanut Commission and Southern Peanut Growers encouraged students to make Georgia Peanuts their go-to snack.
- Clemson University (Oct 7–8): Vickery Hall’s courtyard buzzed with activity between 7 dorms and campus pathways. Neal Baxley, NPB Board Member, along with Katherine and Mary Catherine from the South Carolina Peanut Board joined to share the peanut story.
- NC State University (Oct 15–16): With access to both Miller Field and Stafford Commons, the team partnered with the Planters Peanutter Mobile—as even Mr. Peanut took a shot at the Fuel Zone leaderboard!Ashley Collins represented the North Carolina Peanut Growers Association onsite to wow students.
- University of Florida (Oct 21–22): The final stop at Reitz Union North Lawn featured a full peanut neighborhood of activities. Brittany represented Florida Peanut Producers Association with an amazing display, and more than 15 UF Dining leaders and chefs helped wrap the tour with a bang.

The Fuel Boxes were the social hit of the tour and showcased peanut versatility, filled with 15 peanut products.
Huge thanks to our 5 state peanut boards and campus ambassadors who made the tour unforgettable, educating students that peanuts are grown in the USA, harvested from the earth, and celebrated for their sustainability.
